KSA – Passengers Holding (Schengen, US, or UK) Visas or Permanent Residence.
- Entry rules through Jeddah:
All passengers holding Travel Documents are not allowed to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for any type of visa until further notice.
This restriction does not apply to passengers holding a valid Saudi Residence Permit (Iqama).
KSA - Clearance Permit for Controlled Medications
Passengers coming to or from the Kingdom who are carrying medications containing narcotic substances or psychotropic drugs for personal use, or those acting on their behalf, obtain a clearance permit for those medications through the Controlled Drugs System (CDS) electronic platform via the link (http://cds.sfda.gov.sa) or by scanning the QR code provided below, effective from 01/11/2025:

1- Group A Countries (Eligible for E-Visa (via www.visa.visitsaudi.comand Visa on arrival)
Citizens of countries benefiting from a Tourist Visa:
Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Greece, San Marino, Ukraine, UK, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Monaco, Andorra, Russia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Brunei, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, China, The United States of America, Canada,Australia,NewZealand,SouthAfrica,Maldives,Azerbaijan,Uzbekistan,Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan, Georgia, Albania, Thailand, Turkey, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, Mauritius, Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada.
Group B
Countries (nationality need a visa to enter KSA):
All remaining countries (other than Group A) are eligible for tourist
visas through the Kingdom's representations abroad except the Excepted Nationalities from visa upon arrival (as specified above) as following:
- Holders of a valid tourist or commercial visit Visa from (US, UK, or Schengen) after ensuring that the visa has been used at least once to enter the country granting the visa. This includes the First-degree relatives (as specified below) of the visa holders coming with them.
- Holders of permanent residence from (US, UK or EU) after ensuring presence of the residence. This includes the First-degree relatives (as specified below) of the permanent residence holders coming with them.
The above categories can obtain a visitor visa for the purpose of tourism upon arrival at one of KSA international airports provided:
a. 06 months’ validity of the passport.
b. Holding round trip TKTs.
c. First-degree relatives (Meaning specified below).
d. Applicants must be 18+ unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
e. Visa fees (SAR 300) and insurance (SAR 140). The amount in SAR is equivalent to $123
dollars. The visa is valid for up to one full year (365 days) with a
maximum 90-day duration of stay at one time and multiple entries.
- First-degree relatives meaning for below stations:
A. JED station: Father, Mother, Wife and Children.
B. MED station: His Wife/Her Husband, Children below 18 years old, father and mother.
C. RUH station: His wife and children only.
D. DMM station: His wife/her husband and children only.
- The Excepted Nationalities from visa upon arrival for below stations:
A. JED station: Iran, Syria, Palestine, Libya.
B. MED station: Iran, Syria, Palestine, Libya
C. RUH station: Iran, Syria, Palestine, Libya.
D. DMM station: Iran, Syria, Palestine, Libya.
3- Travel documents holders:
A. All travel documents holders are not eligible for visa upon arrival in KSA.
B. All travel documents holding tourist visas are not allowed to enter KSA. Other type of visas are allowed provided that all information mentioned is correct (the original nationality mentioned in the travel documents should be match in visas)
C. Travel documents holding valid/ or active visas are not accepted in case of the following:
- Passenger nationality is not reflected on the document.
- Passport issued with short validity period (less than 01 year).
- Passengers traveling with travel documents must hold a permanent resident of the country issued with the document.
- Any statement on the document may indicate that passenger may refused re-entry
Visa Requirements for Specific Categories: For passengers arriving from Group B countries who hold a Schengen visa, a US visa, a UK visa, or permanent residency in the US, UK, or the EU, airlines must ensure that they meet the requirements for obtaining visas upon arrival. Passengers who have obtained their visas through electronic services must be verified before boarding.
Residency Requirements for GCC Residents: All incoming tourist visa holders from GCC countries must possess valid residency permits (valid for more than 3 months) that allow them to return to their respective GCC countries, in addition to holding a valid e-visa before their arrival.
Verification of GCC Residency: Airlines must read the visa data for residents of GCC countries and ensure its validity by matching it with the passenger's passport using the QR code on the visa. This must be cross-checked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs platform to confirm its integrity and compliance with the conditions for obtaining a tourist visa.
Tourist Visas Upon Arrival: Those seeking a tourist visa upon arrival from the categories approved through passport platforms must ensure they have access to electronic payment methods for the collection of fees. Airlines are urged to consider the number of such arrivals, including groups, and encourage passengers to obtain their visas electronically prior to arrival to facilitate timely service.
KSA – Exemption For Citizens Of Saudi Arabia And Cyprus Holders Of (Diplomatic, Special, And Service) Passports From The Visa Requirements.
Citizens of the Kingdom and holders of passports (diplomatic or special) and citizens of the Republic of Cyprus and holders of passports (diplomatic or service), and to enter the territories of the two countries without the need for a visa and to stay for a period not exceeding (90) days within a period of (180) days
Transit Entry Regulation:
Transit passengers connecting with low-cost carriers through Dammam are not accepted with immediate effect, unless they are from the nationalities eligible for a visa upon arrival. These passengers must pay a fee of 150 USD for the visa upon arrival, take out their bags and go to departure area, the visa payment is exclusively via E-Payments; payment in cash is not permitted .
Umrah
All passengers traveling to KSA on an UMRAH visa must have their passport stamps checked by staff to verify if the visa has been used before, as it is a single-entry visa, although it can be valid for up to 90 days from the date of issuance, this is applies to any other single entry visas.
Departure from Saudi Arabia
- If departing from Saudi Arabia with Zamzam water, the water must comply with the approved baggage size and weight limits per RJ’s policy
- Zamzam packages cannot be inside checked-in baggage
