Advanced Check-in at the City Terminal

Exclusive to Royal Jordanian passengers flying out of Amman, our Advanced Check-in is in 7th Circle City Terminal. We offer services to simplify your journey beyond just checking in your flight.

Drop off your bags, obtain your boarding pass, choose your seat early on, and even an optional bus ride to the airport to get you to your trip with ease. Taking advantage of these convenient services means a smoother process at Queen Alia International Airport, and more time to relax before your flight.

The City Terminal office will open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Can I Utilize Advanced Check-in

A minimum of 8 hours must be maintained between the check-in activity in the City Terminal and the scheduled flight departure time. The check-in window is between 24 and 8 hours before departure.

Travelers to USA and Canada must be physically present during the check-in process, except for children 12 years and under. For travelers with destinations other than USA and Canada, an adult family member can check in for the others, but they also must be physically present at the City Terminal to fill out a form for pregnant women and to ensure there are no sick cases.

Medical cases, unaccompanied minors, and passengers traveling with pets cannot be accepted for this city terminal check-in option.

Why Advanced Check-in & The City Terminal Might be the Right Choice for You

The large check-in window is great for solo travelers and big families alike to take a load off their plates by checking in bags beforehand. Each checked-in bag has a transport fee of 2 JOD, where your bags will be transferred under security custody

An optional bus ride from the City Terminal’s RJ Transportation Area to the airport can take you straight to Gate 3 at Queen Alia International Airport. It’ll take around half an hour, and you only need to pay 4 JOD for each passenger older than 2 years old or purchase a voucher at the check-in counter before City Terminal closing time. You’re able to use this facility with or without a boarding pass.

The bus to the airport is scheduled to depart every 30 minutes starting from 8:30 AM, with the last bus heading out at 12 AM. You should be at Queen Alia International Airport a minimum of two hours before departure after checking in, so these options are made to help you manage time.

All mentioned fees are paid directly at the City Terminal only, except for Crown Class passengers and holders of Platinum Hawk and Gold Sparrow FFP cards. They are exempt from paying baggage transfer fees and bus usage fees.

From 7th Circle upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport you can go straight to security and passport control for a seamless start to your trip!
