EDAMA is bound to promote the dialogue between the public and private organizations and monitor key policies and attitudes affecting the progress of energy, water and environment issues in Jordan.

Dabbas said that Royal Jordanian has always been concerned about the environment and works constantly with the whole industry, including manufacturers, airports, air navigation and others to limit its impact, emissions and noise. From this perspective RJ is working on improving its operational efficiency, investing in technology, and using efficient infrastructure.

He pointed out that the majority of Royal Jordanian fleet is one of the world's youngest and most modern with the latest, eco-friendly aircraft.
“Environment protection is a key element in the airline's strategy – and taken account in all operations and maintenance processes. He expressed satisfaction with the partnership agreement sealed with EDAMA, the latter being dedicated to establish the country’s energy independence and having a tangible impact on the environment and socioeconomics.

Al Mufleh said that EDAMA will work closely with RJ to conduct and support awareness campaigns to elevate and stress the importance of EWE conservation and efficiency measures and its impact on the economy, environment and society.

“RJ’s active participation and membership in EDAMA Association will substantially impact EDAMA’s agenda and the way Jordan is viewed as a premier in the Energy, Water and Environment. He added that Royal Jordanian’s membership is essential to creating this success,” said Al Mufleh.

He added that many training seminars and training courses are on the agenda of EDAMA schedule based on each membership needs and market demands featuring local and international expertise in the field of EWE.
