Al Jeezeh – first beneficiary of Royal Jordanian’s Ramadan campaign

Jun 30, 2015 - Amman

RJ President/CEO Captain Haitham Misto said RJ wishes to continue performing this campaign, which has become an annual ritual, and that the Jeezeh area was selected to be the first beneficiary because it is close to Queen Alia International Airport, Royal Jordanian’s base of operations.

Captain Misto pointed out that the Ramadan campaign is an expression of the airline’s corporate social responsibility, which makes it interact with and help the local community.

He added that RJ, as the national carrier of Jordan, has a duty to enhance its presence and role in serving the local society, adding that the company believes sustainable corporate social responsibility is an essential element of the airline’s work and values.

The company carries out its duty toward the nation and its responsibility toward the underprivileged in line with the values, religion and morals of the Jordanian society.

Captain Misto also highlighted the positive results of joint public-private sector work on the welfare of the community.

RJ will carry on its Ramadan campaign throughout the Holy Month, giving out more food parcels to inhabitants of remote villages and areas in southern and northern Jordan Valley; it will also hold Iftars for hundreds of orphans and distribute gifts to the children in need in coordination with the Children Museum/Jordan.
