Selecting RJ to be part of the executive committee members mirrors the airline's position and role in the airline transportation at Arab level.
The AACO Executive Committee consists of the chief executive officers of nine elected active AACO member airlines who hold a three-year renewable term. It directs and supervises AACO's work, as well as the performance of AACO's Secretariat General and its institutions.
RJ participated in the 49th AGM that brought together CEOs of AACO member airlines, AACO partner airlines and industry partners from aircraft and engine manufacturers, Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), IT providers and other specialized companies relevant to the Arab air transport industry.
Also attending were the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the European Commission and a number of regional airline associations, in addition to a number of aviation experts. Over 250 delegates attended the meeting.

As one of the first carriers to resume direct flights to Damascus, Royal Jordanian will initially operate four weekly flights, seamlessly connecting Damascus to its network across Europe, the United States, the Levant, and the Gulf region covering over 45 destinations.
