Royal Jordanian awarded Four Stars in Global APEX Awards for the second year

Oct 17, 2018

Amman, October 16, 2018 --The 2019 APEX Official Airline Ratings are based solely on an airline’s passengers' feedback using the TripIt mobile app, the world’s highest-rated travel-organizing app.

Using a five-star scale, more than one million flights of nearly 500 airlines were rated by passengers from around the world between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018. First, passengers rated their overall flight experience and then they were given the opportunity to give ratings in five subcategories: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi.

Airlines were categorized into GLOBAL airlines, with a large number of wide-body aircraft covering the globe, MAJOR REGIONAL airlines, covering a significant region of the globe, and LOW-COST CARRIERS.

This year, of the nearly 500 airlines rated worldwide, less than 9 percent were rated by passengers at the highest Five-Star Airline level and only the next 14 percent reached the prestigious Four-Star Airline tier.

RJ President/CEO Stefan Pichler said: “We are pleased to be honored by one of the airline industry’s highly regarded rating programs, carried out by APEX with a view to enhancing the passenger experience through its influential community. I would like to thank each and every one at our airline for their relentless efforts that led to attaining such a significant high rating.

"The improvement in our ground, air and online services, along with our modern fleet of aircraft, wide international network and robust route connectivity are great contributors to this recognition, of which we are all proud. Thank you, RJ guests, for your valuable, fair evaluation.”
