The A321 P2F boasts impressive features and specifications, including a 93-ton Maximum Take-off Weight (MTOW) and a cargo capacity ranging between 25 to 26 tons. The aircraft is equipped with a Center Fuel Tank, contributing to its exceptional fuel efficiency. With its highly reliable engines, the A321 P2F achieves significantly lower fuel-burn per hour, resulting in reduced emissions, aligning with Royal Jordanian Airlines' commitment to sustainability.
This strategic addition to the cargo fleet is set to revolutionize Royal Jordanian Airlines' cargo operations. The introduction of the A321 P2F comes at an opportune time, enabling the airline to expand its connections between Jordan and Europe, the Levant, and GCC countries, tapping into the fast-growing and quickly expanding air cargo market.
The A321 P2F features a side-opening main deck cargo door on the left-hand side of the fuselage, accommodating fourteen AAY ULD positions for 88"x125" sized industry-standard cargo containers or pallets, with a maximum ULD height of 82 inches. This design facilitates efficient loading and unloading processes, maximizing cargo capacity and operational flexibility.
"This new addition to our cargo fleet aligns with our commitment to providing innovative and efficient solutions for our customers," said Mr. Karime Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Jordanian Airlines. "The A321 P2F not only enhances our cargo capabilities but also allows us to explore new routes and increase our operational efficiency, ultimately providing better services to our valued clients."
The A321 P2F is designed to operate short-haul routes, increasing frequencies with maximum revenue and load utilization, ensuring maximum profitability with reduced costs.
As of the beginning of 2024, the first A321 freighter is scheduled to join Royal Jordanian Airlines' cargo fleet, operating to various destinations, including Cairo, Dubai, Larnaca, Baghdad and others
