IATA current and former CEOs visit Royal Jordanian

Jul 26, 2011

The meeting focused on the cooperation between RJ and the association in all fields relative to the air transport industry. Tyler and Bisignani praised the advanced level that RJ has reached and the distinguished services it offers its passengers at the highest safety standards. RJ is also committed to implement the IATA instructions in safe operations, commerce and air freight.

The visit reflects IATA’s confidence in RJ and the latter’s regional and international position, as Jordan enjoys high capabilities in the civil aviation sector and the air transport industry. IATA is the umbrella that all international airlines work under; it provides the services to the companies, comes up with initiatives and different solutions to ease the work of the airlines and facilitate travel to passengers.

IATA was founded in 1945 and RJ became a member in the association in 1966.
