RJ receives new Airbus A320

Oct 19, 2011

Aqaba will operate short- to medium-haul flights. It is configured with two cabins and seats 136 passengers, 16 in the crown class cabin, all equipped with in-flight entertainment system, in addition to Audio-Video-On-Demand fixed in every seat. The new A320 — which has a range of five flying hours and a cargo capacity of almost 10 tons — exemplify the standards that Royal Jordanian has set to ensure the operating efficiency of its fleet. Their V2500 engines are designed to significantly reduce fuel consumption. RJ’s investment plan to renovate its medium haul fleet will continue throughout 2012 as part of a deal of operating leases with AWAS, a Dublin-based lessor.

The RJ fleet counts 32 planes built according to the latest eco-friendly specifications and serving 59 destinations spanned over four continents.
