Royal Jordanian makes important donation to the General Union of Voluntary Societies

Apr 07, 2012 - Amman

The head of the social cooperation campaign at the GUVS, Khalid Hanandeh, expressed gratitude to Royal Jordanian for its valuable contribution and continued interaction with the local community, and for the leading role Royal Jordanian plays in the Jordanian society, pointing to the positive and thoughtful initiatives the company launches occasionally to communicate with social and humanitarian institutions and bodies.

Hanandeh stressed that RJ is an example of public-private sector cooperation, which helps alleviate the financial burden suffered by the less fortunate in the society as a result of difficult economic circumstances.

The airline donated such items to the union and many other civil and governmental associations as part of the company’s ongoing acts in support of the local community and its manifestation of social corporate responsibility.

Royal Jordanian contributes to the official efforts to serve the society, being an example of the role the private sector can play in serving the community.
