RJ renews call to passengers to be at the airport three hours ahead of their flight

Sep 09, 2012 - Amman

The airport terminals are witnessing heavy congestion this current summer season and slow vehicle movement on the airport road due to the construction work on the road and on the airport terminals. This has resulted in some closed gates and the need for RJ to carry passengers and their luggage by means of vehicles to and from the ramp where the aircraft park.

RJ stressed that it will continue on applying its previously announced policy of closing its check-in counters at a certain time in order to avoid any delays; the policy involves closing all check-in counters one hour before flights to all destinations on RJ’s route network. As such, passengers are required to be at the airport terminal three hours ahead of their flight in order to be able to reach the check-in counters at the appropriate time and also easily connect with other carriers.

Royal Jordanian apologizes for any inconvenience that might happen if it does not accept passengers who do not show up at the check-in counter one hour before the departure time because they did not arrive at the airport three hours before departure. It pointed out that RJ needs to close its check-in counters enough time before departure as it needs to prepare for the take off that has to be on time.
