Royal Jordanian becomes thus VIA Rail Canada’s first code-share partner. According to the agreement, when an RJ passenger purchases his/her airline ticket from RJ, Royal Jordanian issues a ticket that holds one code for both means of transportation, air and rail. This ticket will show that the passenger has a VIA Rail Canada ticket.
This code-share ticket may be purchased through the Internet booking engine at www.rj.com or from any RJ sales offices and travel agents around the world.
RJ President/CEO, Amer Hadidi said: “We are proud to cooperate with a well-respected rail service company as VIA Rail Canada. The frequency and travel times of VIA's trains between Montreal and Toronto, and Montreal and Ottawa extend the quality of services and comfort experienced by RJ passengers to and from Amman. Through such partnerships, RJ aims at giving more convenient travel options to its passengers.”
