The RJ board of directors appoints Captain Haitham Misto RJ president/CEO

Hafez conveyed the board’s trust in Captain Misto’s capability to lead the airline in the coming period, in addition to his competency to implement the company’s strategic plan to enable it to overcome the challenges ahead.

He called upon all RJ staff members to extend all support and cooperation to Captain Misto, to work as one team, putting their expertise and distinguished performance in the service of RJ and, thus, placing the company in the position that befits it as the national carrier of Jordan. Hafez stressed that Royal Jordanian has a key role in serving the country in the economic, tourism and social fields.

Captain Misto has 33 years of experience at Royal Jordanian. During his career, he held several managerial and technical responsibilities. He was head of the Flights Operations Department before being appointed acting president.

He holds an MBA in aviation management from Maastricht University, Netherlands.
