Allgäu-Orient-Rallye team visits Royal Jordanian

May 26, 2015 - Amman

The rally, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II, started from Oberstaufen, Germany, two weeks ago and the cars arrived in Jordan on May 27.

RJ President/CEO Captain Haitham Misto welcomed the team members; 12 of them are RJ employees who drove two vehicles that RJ sponsored and will be sold, along with the other vehicles, with the proceeds going to benefit hearing impaired Jordanian children on whom cochlear implants will be performed.

Receiving participants, Captain Misto stressed the importance of the rally in supporting charity work in Jordan and in promoting tourism to the kingdom in the 10 European countries the rally vehicles passed through, which are, besides Germany, Austria, Italy, some countries in East Europe, Greece, Turkey and, the final stop, Jordan.

He said that RJ’s sponsorship and participation in the rally is part of the company’s practicing social corporate responsibility and its continuous support, as the official carrier, for the different Jordanian success stories.

Such events have a positive impact on the local society at large.

The head of the rally committee, Sakher Al Fayez, thanked Royal Jordanian for its continued support to the Allgäu-Orient-Rallye ever since its launch 10 years ago and expressed appreciation for the facilities RJ offers to the rally participants, particularly through RJ’s Frankfurt station.
