وإطّلع الحافظ خلال الزيارة التفقدية التي رافقه فيها مدير عام الملكية الأردنية بالوكالة ورئيس دائرة العمليات الجوية على الأضرار المادية الطفيفة التي أصابت جزءً بسيطاً من الهيكل الخارجي للطائرة التي كانت بمحاذاة الآليّة المذكورة في الوقت الذي إشتعلت فيها النار.
وأكد الحافظ في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء الأردنية (بترا) أن الضرر الذي لحق بجسم الطائرة الخارجي محدود للغاية ولن يؤثر على برنامج رحلات الملكيّة الأردنية، مشيراً الى أن الفِرَق الفنيّة المختصة في الشركة باشرت بإصلاح الأضرار وسوف تعود الطائرة الى العمل ضمن الأسطول قريباً.
وكانت الملكية الأردنية قالت في بيان صحفي صباح اليوم أن أحداً من العاملين في الشركة أو المطار لم يصب بأذى جراء الحريق الذي نشب في آلية سحب الطائرات مشيرةً إلى أن الطائرة كانت متوقفة على أرض المطار وخالية من المسافرين.
