RJ flight to Chicago diverted to Rome to rescue a passenger’s life

Apr 13, 2016 - Amman

The female passenger was in good health upon the flight departure from Amman at 11:30 am, but she felt sick after three hours of flying, which made the captain land at the nearest airport upon the recommendation of a physician who was onboard.

An ambulance was waiting upon landing at Rome airport, and the passenger was accompanied by a relative and RJ employees at Rome station to one of the hospitals close to the airport.

The RJ aircraft resumed its flight to Chicago after a two-hour delay in Rome.

RJ strives to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers, which is a priority for the airline despite the high cost incurred in case of emergency landings.
