RJ holds iftar banquet for 250 orphans at Children’s Museum, continues distributing goodwill parcels
Jun 12, 2017 - Amman
The iftar was attended by 250 children who were happy to also visit the museum, which offers a unique educational experience. At the museum, children can explore and experiment through numerous activities, and learn through playing.
RJ also delivered hundreds of goodwill parcels to less privileged citizens in different parts of Jordan, in the southern and Zarqa governorates, in cooperation with the Social Development Ministry.
These aid parcels contained foodstuff needed by Jordanian families, including staples consumed during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Royal Jordanian President/CEO Stefan Pichler said: “RJ’s interaction and continuous communication with the local community, while giving a hand to the less privileged people, is part of the national airline’s mission. It reflects our keenness on maintaining our social and national role in the service of Jordan, because we believe in the positive results of joint public-private sector work on the welfare of the community.”
Earlier in Ramadan, the airline also distributed goodwill parcels to less fortunate families in the eastern desert, and held an iftar for 170 orphans looked after by several charities and for a number of less fortunate families at Queen Rania Park of the Greater Amman Municipality.
This year’s campaign will continue to host more Iftar banquets and distribute more food parcels to the less fortunate families around Jordan.
