Nov 07, 2017

Also attending the meeting was RJ Head of Sales and Marketing Department Mahmoud Azzam and the concerned from the two sides.

Several issues were tackled, including ways to enhance cooperation between the National Carrier of Jordan and the society that counts as members a big number of local travel agents and tour operators.

The two sides stressed their keenness to work closely together for the benefit of both and, ultimately, of the national economy, whose one of its main pillars is tourism.

Pichler highlighted the robust relationship that connects RJ with its travel agent partners and stressed the airline’s eagerness to boost this relation in order to increase sales on RJ’s aircraft and encourage more inbound tourists to visit the Kingdom.

He pointed out that recently the airline launched and started implementing its turnaround plan, which aims at enhancing RJ's partnerships with all stakeholders, including travel agents, travelers, employees, services providers and others.

He also said that the meeting is part of RJ’s endeavor to maintain channels of communication with its partners and seek best ways to achieve the common aspirations of both sides, part of which is increased travel and tourism activity that promotes the distinguished Jordanian tourist product marketed by tourism agents and reinforces the position of Royal Jordanian as the national carrier eager to connect the kingdom with the world using the highest standards of efficiency and excellence.

The President of the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents Mohammad Samih said that a long-standing relationship gathers the travel agents with RJ since its establishment. The society is always keen on boosting the dialogue and opening channels of communication for the interest of the two sides and their customers. He stressed that the goal of the meeting is getting closer to the national carrier of Jordan and its management to overcome any hurdles.
